So, Installing Veeam might have been fine, if Veeam didn't try to install any roles to support itself. I'm wondering if that "did me in"? I did see that IIS had been installed, but I did not finish the Veeam install when it wanted to install SQL Server I cancelled. I don't think there are any limitations regarding other applications installed on the hypervisor, just other roles because I don't know if MS would have any way to program for that possibility to any usable degree.

I did "almost" install Veeam One Free edition on the HyperVisor Host this morning. In that case, I must fall back to my recommendation of running that DISM command to confirm that the version did change from eval to retail.īill-AATFtech wrote:Hi. So, none of the VMs using the AVMA key are activating.

the 3rd VM is activated I assume because I had a different Window Server 2012 R2 License Number, but the other 2 VM's we supposed to be activated using the HyperVisor Key#.Ah, yes. Server 2012 R2 Standard virtualization licensing can be used in one of two ways: Since 1 activated but the others aren't, I have to ask: Is the hypervisor system running any other role than Hyper-V? If so, then you would only be able to host 1 VM under it. 1 VM is activating and the other 2 aren't? Are they all on the same hypervisor? If so, at best you'd only be able to activate 1 more VM before going over your Server 2012 R2 virtualization licensing.
